Product information

Our polycarbonate windows are hand crafted to order by our experienced UK based team. They are designed to be safe, strong and lightweight, making them ideal for motorsport. They are much stronger than glass and shatterproof, unlike Perspex and other acrylics, so you are well protected whilst driving.

Our standard windows are manufactured from 4mm thick polycarbonate to comply with Motorsport UK regulations, whilst we also 5mm FIA compliant and hard-coated options for those looking tougher windows.

All of our windows are available in a choice of clear, bronze or grey polycarbonate so can choose the windows that best suit your car. You also have the option to add window sliders to either one or both of the front door windows depending on your preference.

How long does an order take to ship?

We will confirm receipt of your order straight away and will be in touch if we have any questions regarding your order. Standard polycarbonate orders are usually manufactured and despatched within 1-2 weeks of the order being placed. Specialist orders - for example if you choose hard-coating plastic - will take longer, but we will contact you and discuss this with you. If you need your order by a certain date then please let us know.

Can I fit the window myself?

Yes, it is straight forward to remove an existing window and install a RacePlastics polycarbonate window. There are plenty of guides on YouTube to help you do this.

Can I collect the order myself?

Yes, we usually courier orders out to our customers, but if you contact us, we can arrange for collection from our Leeds factory.

How can I change my order?

If you need to discuss or change your order in any way, please get in touch with the team at the earliest chance. We will always try to accommodate any changes but costs may be incurred if the manufacturing process has already started.

The Rover 200/25 3-door rally car

The Rover 200, later rebadged as the Rover 25, holds a distinctive place in the annals of British motorsport, particularly within the rally racing domain. This model series, which first hit the roads in the late 1980s, quickly made its mark due to its versatility, reliability, and the potential it offered for customisation.

Initially launched as a modest family car, the Rover 200 series underwent several transformations, the most significant of which occurred in 1995 with the introduction of the Rover 200 Mk2. This iteration was sportier, sleeker, and more in tune with the demands of a younger, more performance-oriented audience. The introduction of the Rover 25 in 1999 continued this legacy, further cementing its place in the hearts of rally enthusiasts.

The enthusiast scene truly embraced the Rover 200/25 for several reasons. Its compact size and responsive handling made it an ideal candidate for rally modifications. The car's engine bay was accommodating enough to handle more powerful engines and modifications without extensive overhauls, making it a popular choice for amateur and semi-professional rally teams.

Rover 200/25 rally cars were commonly seen darting through British rally stages in the early 2000s. The model's adaptability was showcased in various rally classifications, proving that it could hold its own against more traditional rally names. The affordability of the Rover 200/25 also contributed to its popularity, offering a lower barrier of entry for newcomers eager to dip their toes into the rallying world.

Today, the Rover 200/25 remains a celebrated figure in the rally enthusiast community. Its legacy is kept alive by dedicated owners and clubs across the UK who cherish the model not only for its historical significance but also for the sheer joy it brings to the rallying experience. Events and meets often feature these cars, where tales of past races and adventures are exchanged with pride and nostalgia.
