Product information
Our polycarbonate windows are hand crafted to order by our experienced UK based team. They are designed to be safe, strong and lightweight, making them ideal for motorsport. They are much stronger than glass and shatterproof, unlike Perspex and other acrylics, so you are well protected whilst driving.
Our standard windows are manufactured from 4mm thick polycarbonate to comply with Motorsport UK regulations, whilst we also offer 5mm FIA compliant and hard-coated options for those looking tougher windows.
All of our windows are available in a choice of clear, bronze or grey polycarbonate so can choose the windows that best suit your car. You also have the option to add window sliders to either one or both of the front door windows depending on your preference.
Window sliders
Upgrade your vehicle with the Race Plastics Window Slider Kit, designed for both driver and navigator sides. Crafted from the same high-quality polycarbonate as your chosen window, these sliders ensure seamless integration and durability. Choose between two locking systems: the Click-Click Bearing Lock for smooth, rattle-free operation with three adjustable positions, or the Split-Pin Lock for a simple, secure, and reliable solution with two preset positions.
Engineered for flawless fitment and effortless installation, our sliders prevent rubbing and scratching, keeping your windows looking sharp. Whether you need maximum airflow on the track or controlled ventilation on the road, this upgrade delivers race-ready performance. For more details, check out our Window Slider Kits.
How long does an order take to ship?

If you need your order by a certain date then please let us know.
Can I fit the window myself?
Yes, it is straight forward to remove an existing window and install a RacePlastics polycarbonate window. There are plenty of guides on YouTube to help you do this. Unless otherwise stated, all windows are designed to be fitted into rubber seals, please contact us if you require bolt in versions.
Can I collect the order myself?
Yes, we usually courier orders out to our customers, but if you contact us, we can arrange for collection from our Leeds factory.
How can I change my order?

The Vauxhall Corsa C rally car
The Vauxhall Corsa C, introduced in 2000, was never designed to be a hardcore motorsport machine. Built primarily as a compact, affordable, and fuel-efficient hatchback, the Corsa C quickly became a favourite among first-time drivers, commuters, and city dwellers. However, beneath its humble exterior, it had the potential to be a competitive force in rallying and circuit racing, and it didn’t take long for teams to start unlocking its capabilities.
While not an obvious rally contender, the Corsa C proved to be a strong competitor in front-wheel-drive rally categories, particularly in junior and grassroots events across Europe. Thanks to its lightweight chassis, compact dimensions, and strong aftermarket support, it became a popular choice for club rally teams looking for a reliable and affordable entry-level car.
The 1.6-litre 16V ‘Z16XE’ engine, producing around 105 horsepower in standard form, became the foundation for Group N and Group A rally builds. With modifications such as high-lift camshafts, upgraded ECUs, and lightweight racing components, rally-prepped Corsa C models could push power figures to 140-150 horsepower, turning the little hatchback into a surprisingly quick and agile competitor.
What made the Corsa C particularly effective in tight, technical rally stages was its short wheelbase and front-wheel-drive setup, giving it predictable handling and great traction on loose surfaces. It performed well in tarmac rally events, where its nimble chassis and rev-happy engine made it a strong rival against cars like the Peugeot 106 Rallye, Renault Clio 16V, and Ford Fiesta ST.
Privateer teams also took advantage of the Corsa’s strong reliability, as it could withstand the rigours of rallying without the frequent mechanical failures seen in more temperamental high-performance cars. This durability, combined with low running costs and widespread availability of spare parts, made it a cost-effective yet capable choice for amateur rally drivers.
In circuit racing, the Corsa C found a niche in junior touring car categories and one-make racing series, where it was used as a stepping stone for young drivers moving up the ranks. Its lightweight structure, solid chassis balance, and easy-to-tune engine made it an excellent entry-level race car, particularly in budget-friendly series across the UK and Europe.
One of the most notable racing applications of the Corsa C was in production car and club racing championships, where stripped-down, track-prepped versions competed against similar small-displacement front-wheel-drive cars. With sports suspension, wider tyres, upgraded brakes, and weight reduction, the Corsa C became a feisty little track weapon, capable of holding its own against more powerful opposition.
The Vauxhall Corsa SRi and GSi models, equipped with sportier suspension and a more responsive throttle map, were often used as donor cars for race builds. These models featured tighter steering, better chassis tuning, and a sportier powerband, making them ideal for turning into proper track machines.
Surprisingly, the Corsa C also gained popularity in time attack and track day events, where enthusiasts modified them for high-speed circuit performance. Tuned versions with forced induction, stripped-out interiors, and racing aero kits started appearing in grassroots motorsport events, proving that even a small economy car could become a serious performance machine with the right modifications.
In the hands of the right driver, a well-prepared Corsa C could keep up with more powerful cars on technical circuits, showcasing its nimble handling and surprising agility.
While it never had the factory-backed support of Vauxhall’s touring car or rally programs, the Corsa C developed a strong following in grassroots motorsport, proving that small, lightweight hatchbacks could still put up a fight on the track and in rally stages. It became a favourite among privateer racers, who appreciated its simplicity, durability, and potential for performance tuning.
Today, the Corsa C is still seen in autocross, rally sprints, and budget racing events, keeping its legacy alive as a fun, accessible, and capable small car that thrives when pushed to its limits. It may not have had the glamour of Vauxhall’s bigger performance models, but in the world of club-level racing, it earned a reputation as a true underdog, a car that could punch well above its weight.
